Q: My friend bought me one of these halters about 1 year ago. It did NOT come w/extra strap. The breakaway strap recently broke. I logged into TSC site to order a strap and found the Q+A that said TSC does not have a replacement strap. What do I do now????

I know this is supposed to breakaway, it definitely does that job, but it breaks way too easy. I've flown through all the leather replacement pieces included and unfortunately there is no option to buy more leather pieces. Would just suggest buying a halter with replaceable leather crown because at least you can find those pieces.

Something important missing.

I purchased these halters. They do breakaway at the leather as they should. The company is nice enough to supply a replacement leather in case it does break. But since it’s fixed with a screw, the extra leathers are useless because….you guessed it. You get the leather piece but no screw to repair it. I have one hanging now that without the screw and I can’t use it. Why go through the little added expense for extra leathers without a screw???? Makes little sense. I hope the company really reads these reviews. I’d love them to send me two screws. If not I got screwed.

DO NOT PURCHASE. Only comes with one additional breakaway piece that is flimsy and other parts are not available. While you want a breakaway to break under pressure, it breaks too easily. Pointless to buy something that you'd need to throw away. Buy a breakaway that has a replacement crown.
