This system can expand to a 2-dog or 3-dog system. The rugged micro-sized dog bark collar unit and transmitter fit in the palm of your hand. I bought the micro collar minimum of twenty years ago and was prepared to buy another one but I just had to charge it up. After being inactive for at least ten years I just needed the plug for the charging port and that was it. I left it on the charger for a day and it's working fine. This is truly a five star product. This is the third Doberman Pincher I have trained using the collar and it's made my life sooo much easier. Especially with the squirrel chasing. That time I really gave her a Zap, and she never went past the curb again. Plus if the battery needs charging you can tape a c cell to a regular collar and they behave, at least mine did.

Very effective non irritating collar with more than enough range for your needs

My good friend whose an avid elk and in particular duck hunter recommend this collar about 5 years ago. This same friend gave us his dogs only pup, a black lab which we named Koda. The collar worked like a charm for about 14 months then just stopped working. We were disappointed because we were seeing the results of our efforts to train Koda. Same friend who recommended the collar was on his 3rd year with the same collar. We figured maybe Koda had beaten it up so bad, maybe we had left it plugged in to long or maybe it simply just gave out. We bought another one finally. We hesitated to get another but figured Koda responded really well to it, let's bite the bullet and get another one. It gave out again bout 2 years later. Obviously we were very disappointed and since my wife and I aren't very good about filling out any warranty info, we had to absorb the loss. Ironically my friends dog collar is still working like a champ. If it weren't for what seems to my wife and a short working lifespan, this for sure a 5 star product. The product was easy to sync. Held a charge for what seemed like a good whole. The collar itself was rugged, the material wasn't easy to tear or rip. The prongs protruded just enough to be effective but not be an irritation. I appreciated the training guide packed with the collar. We implemented a couple of em. Don't let my experience with the training collar dissuade you, get it. You and your dog will both appreciate and love the product.

Thanks for the detailed review. The transmitter uses a replaceable 9v battery, and it needs to be replaced with a high quality (brand name) 9v every 6 months or so for everything to work properly. Additionally the rechargeable battery in the collar works best if allowed to deplete to under 50% or so, then charged for about 8 hours until the led indicator is green. If left on the charger too long it will reduce the battery life.
