The DR Power Equipment 22 in. 185cc Gas Pro Manual Start Trimmer Mower features a premium DR engine with 9.70 foot-pounds of torque. The frame is mounted with extra high 16 in. wheels for easier maneuvering. This trimmer cuts a 22 in. swath, has 5 adjustable mowing heights (1.5 in. to 3.5 in.), and offers ergonomic handlebars for stress free mowing. An offset frame design allows this landscaping tool to trim right up against foundations, fence lines, and other obstacles with precise control. The front is fortified with a cast aluminum nose plate that protects the machine against damage from collisions.

Avoid tilting it when servicing
a year ago
I had the belt derail in heavy brush. Removing the bottom cover to get the belt back on the pulley required me to set the unit on its side. Big mistake, the oil started to flow out through the crankcase breather that vents into the air cleaner housing. Before I realized what was happening there was a huge puddle of oil on my garage floor. Going forward I’ll have to figure how to set it on some kind of stand.
Secondly, when I tip the trimmer back on the handle to change the trimmer line the carburetor float bowl overflows into the combustion chamber requiring me to remove the spark plug and blow it dry. So now I tilt back and rest it on a 4” block. A messy learning process.
Other than that it’s easy to start and gets the job done.
Yes, I recommend this product.

For safety reasons, never attempt to start the unit if there has been a gas or oil spill. When servicing the belt, it is recommended to tip the machine back onto its handle to access the underside.
