Dorzolamide HCL Ophthalmic Solution is a medicated eye drop used for treating pets with glaucoma. It contains 2% dorzolamide, a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, which works to decrease eye pressure. This is important for reducing the risk of vision loss and nerve damage. Dorzolamide HCL is safe for cats, dogs and horses. Comes in a 10 mL bottle of eye drops.How it Works

Dorzolamide HCL Ophthalmic Solution decreases secretion of humor by slowing bicarbonate ion formation with subsequent fluid transport and sodium reduction. The result is reduced intraocular pressure.

Special Precautions

• Do not touch the dropper to the hands, eyes, or any other surface. Contamination could result in an eye infection.
• If difficulty breathing, hives, or swelling occur, discontinue use and immediately contact your veterinarian.
• Speak to your veterinarian about all other medications your pet is taking.

Overdose Information

Flush eye with water. Call your vet or emergency animal hospital.

Side Effects

If any of the following serious signs of allergic reaction occur, discontinue use and seek emergency veterinary attention:

• Hives
• Closing of the throat
• Difficulty breathing
• Swelling of the tongue
• Swelling of the face
• Swelling of the lips

Less serious side effects may occur. If your pet experiences any of the following, continue administering and speak to your veterinarian:

• Nausea
• Rash
• Fatigue
• Sensitivity to sunlight
• Blurred vision
• Watery eyes
• Itchy eyes

Other side effects may also occur. Speak to your veterinarian about any bothersome or unusual symptoms.

Storage

Keep away from heat and moisture. Store at room temperature.

Tips

Wait 10 minutes between administering any other eye drops.
