Do Not Size Down!

After reading the reviews for these pants, I sized down from an 8 to a 6, which was a mistake -- I couldn't even get them over my hips. Had to return, and now hoping the 8 is true to size.

Weird body shape - needle & thread to the rescue!

These pants are everything I hoped for in terms of style, fabric and colour. The craftmanship is excellent. Now, size... I have an unusual body, or at least a body that manufacturers don't usually design for. I'm tall (5'10"), with most of my height in my torso rather than my legs, so getting enough length in the "rise" can be an issue. I'm also skinny, but don't have much cut at my waist. I've got too little hip for most women's sizes and too much hip for most men's sizes. What I end up doing is buying women's sizes that fit at the waist and just living with the baggy butt. Usually this means a size 12 or 14. When I placed my order, I read the size chart and reviews carefully, then ordered a 12. However, what the item description didn't make clear to me was that the waist on these pants falls a few inches below my natural waist (at least on me). Since I don't have much "flare" below my natural waist, the waist of the pants was far too large to be wearable. I considered exchanging them for a size 10, but good grief, I think the last time I wore a 10 I was a teenager (half a century ago). Instead I got out the ol' needle and thread and took four tucks, two in the front and two in the back. The result fits comfortably and looks good. (And yeah, the butt is baggy. What else is new?) That's not a solution that everyone's going to find acceptable, but it works for me.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not my style of pants for work

I consider these to be bulky mom jeans that just seemed far too big on me. I also dont wear that style of pants i prefer wearing a pair that hugs my legs. I give them 2 stars for the quality but i had to return them because i wasnt satisfied. Hopefully Dickies got what i returned?

No, I do not recommend this product.

Too relaxed.

These are very very relaxed. I am a generous size size 6 (28 in denim) and the size 4 is relaxed on me. I sized down intentionally to achieve a tighter fit, but should have purchased the size 2 it seems. A size 6 shouldn’t be able to fit into a size 2–I haven’t been a size 2 since high school. I think Dickie’s is caving into vanity sizing. I would rather they used standard denim sizing so that if I have a 28 waist and 38 hip, the 28 will fit.
