I bought the dewalt 20v pole saw today and I am 100% happy with it, I cut some 2" and 3" limbs using the extension. I first use my 2 ah battery from my dewalt drill and did most of the cutting working around 2 hours on and off. After 2 hours I put the 4 ah battery in and finished the 3rd hour of work. This dewalt pole saw has already payed for itself. I did experience the chain getting caught in the wood tripping the circuit breaker however a second later it resets and turns back on. This happened lots of times maybe 25 times however lifting up on the cutting chain solved this problem. I still give this tool a 5 star rating I own most of the dewalt 20v tools and you are buying quality. One job with this tool and it could pay for itself. Yes you can use your 2 ah battery, it worked just fine for me. A+A+A+A+A+

This pole saw had been returned to the store and reshelved, to be resold, although it didn’t work. The battery worked, however. When we returned it, they again put it back on the shelf; this time with a small, hand-written note stating it didn’t work but the battery was good. I was told that company policy dictates they can’t remove something from the shelf but will continue to discount the item until sold. This is a terrible policy! The saw should be returned to the manufacturer for a refund!
