Chinese Wisteria is a climbing favorite featuring gorgeous clusters of blue-violet flowers in late spring. This long-lived vine is vigorous and makes a beautiful addition to archways, pergolas, fences, and trellises. It may also be used as a bonsai project or to create a decorative screen for the patio. Chinese Wisteria is a deciduous vine with deep green foliage offering a beautiful backdrop to this dramatic display of weeping blossoms. It will grow in most soils and regular pruning is recommended to encourage flowering and maintain its size and shape.Guaranteed to Grow: Product must be purchased before June 1st. Q: Do you sell American Wisteria? Asian Wisteria, specifically Chinese, is EXTREMELY invasive. I love the look and smell of wisteria, but I have no interest in strangling the nearby trees (as I have witnessed of Chinese Wisteria).
a year ago- A: Dear ForTheBirds, Thank you for your question. We do not currently offer American Wisteria. Plant restrictions vary from state to state and county to county, and they are everchanging. We do our very best to monitor restricted species and follow guidelines in an effort to not sell in restricted states. If you have additional questions, we encourage you to contact us at (269) 468-6714 or sales@degroot-inc.com so we may assist you. Thank you, DeGroot Inc.a year agoHelpful?
Q: How long will it be before I can expect blooms?
3 years ago- A: Dear JT Reynolds, Thank you for your question. Our product is dormant, packaged bare root plants intended to be without foliage (leaves) while in the store. Depending on the climate and weather experienced after planting, this plant could take up to 6-8 weeks to break dormancy and show signs of growth. The expected bloom time for Wisteria Chinese is about late spring depending on when it is planted that timing could be delayed a bit. We encourage you to contact us at (269) 468-6714 or sales@degroot-inc.com if you have additional questions. Thank you again for your inquiry. Thank you, DeGroot Inc.3 years agoHelpful?
Q: I saw this was the Chinese variant of wisteria but aren’t they invasive? I bought one off impulse but I would not want to plant an invasive species if it would cause problems for native species.
