- A: Hi KaySan, The Daytek Retractable Clothesline is sold with a metal brackets that can be bolted to a wall (bolt pack included) or mounted to an existing pole structure.3 years agoHelpful?
Q: Is the mounting part where the bolts attach to the wall steel and not plastic?

Q: If I am going to mount this outdoors, pole to pole installation, do I need to buy an additional mounting kit? Do you have an installation manual so I can see how this May be done?

- A: Hi susususu, If you are installing the retractable clothesline pole to pole you will need to buy two mounting kits (SKU: 172675599). Instructions can be provided by emailing a request to ecommerce@daytek.com.au.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: How many pounds is the line rated for ?

- A: Hi our clotheslines are rated at 2/3lbs per foot of line. In the case of this product each line is 23 feet long, so each one should support over 15lbs. Poor quality

I'm very disappointed in the quality of this product. I had two of these retractable clotheslines about 15 years ago and you could adjust the tension of the lines. I don't seem to be able to do that with this one. When I hang my clothes on it, the lines droop really low and then when I retract it, they tangle and I have to pull it in and out multiple times to get them retracted. I would not purchase again.

Excellent quality. Retracts easily when not in use. Not only does it save on electricity but you get a wonderful fresh air smell on your clothes and linens without the added use of chemicals.

Unit was damaged in shipping. I did not realize it until I prepared to install it. I have reported the problem to the manufacturer.

Does the job with some limitation.

The product has held up very well with the sun beating down on it day after day. It does the job, but I wish the lines were further apart. I use it at our lake cabin and really load it up with heavy wet towels from time to time. The lines stretch out with weight, but not enough to cause a serious issue. The biggest draw back for me is that the lines are so close together…about 4 inches between them. I mostly end up using two of the four lines for that reason. Items don’t get completely dry because they are sandwiched together so closely. That is the only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5.
Yes, I recommend this product.
