Pretty decent sharpness and easy to

I've never had much luck at sharpening knives. Until I found this little tool. For me, it has been working very well. I like that it's compact. I start out on the course grit, swiping my knife 10 or 12 times. Then I flip the knife over and do the other side. Next step 8 or 10 swipes with medium to light pressure on the fine grit side. Then I flipped the knife and do 8 or 10 swipes on the other side of the knife. At that point I'm done and have a very good edge. If I use the white rod or the strop, it seems to doll the blade for me. Although I don't get the results I would like by following the directions, my above method works well enough for me and I am very happy with the purchase.

    Good Sharpener for the price

People who cut their fingers on this aren't smart enough to read the directions. This tool works great for sharpening knives of many shapes and sizes. Follow the directions and keep bandaids off your fingers.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Too small. Watch your fingers!

Too small to hold safely and comfortably. I like the concept, and it does a good job at sharpening, but I ended up with several cuts to my fingers when holding it by the sides. There just isn't enough material to firmly and safely grip. The single grip on the end is OK if you rest the opposite end on something, but it feels awkward. I tried to like it, but my fingers say NO.
