DAP 100% Silicone Rubber Window, Door & Siding Sealant is a durable, 100% waterproof and weatherproof, all-purpose sealant. Works great for caulking and sealing out drafts, water and moisture around windows, doors, siding, gutters, flashing, pipes, vents and more. All purpose white silicone stays flexible to withstand expansion and contraction without cracking or losing adhesion. DAP caulk and sealants provide durable performance for a variety of projects.

Doesn’t work

Doesn’t work properly I cut off the tip and went to use it and the bottom busted out it went everywhere. When I opened it up the whole tip was solid as though it had been opened before and reclosed.

Thank you for posting your feedback. We are sorry to see your low star review on DAP 100% Silicone Sealant. Based on your commentary, it would likely indicate that the inner foil seal was not broken/punctured prior to attempting to apply the product. As indicated on the product package label guidance and supporting product literature: "2. Cut nozzle at a 45º angle to desired bead size. 3. Puncture inner foil seal. 4. Load into caulk gun. 5. Fill gap with sealant, pushing sealant ahead of nozzle." Great "Chat with an Expert" LiveChat support

Was having some odd curing problems, but was able to get DAP LiveChat support on a Saturday, and better yet, I believe they identified the problem! (I'd recommend using this particular silicone outdoors or in a well ventilated room, as it has quite an odor while curing.) Unrelated to this, I have a suggestion for DAP: Put shelf life and/or expiration date info on your tubes, please. I was recently burned by trying to use an expired tube of silicone from a competing brand, and would hate to have this happen with DAP. LiveChat was able to tell me I was well within the 2 year shelf life after decoding the date code on the tube.

I used this product on the back of a large bathroom mirror to help to hold and cushion the mirror against the wall. It seemed to have worked but now I am being told that was a bad idea as the silicone will damage the coating on the back of the glass. Is this true?
