This pot needs a makeover

I purchased this tea pot as a gift as I thought the person would like the color, shape and cast iron construction. The issue with the product is that after first use, the tea tasted like iron. Upon close examination of the inside surface of the spout there was an area of rust corrosion. Another issue observed was that the infuser strainer does not fully sit deep enough into the pot and therefore when you pour out even less than a full cup of tea, the herbs, tea bag or whatever you are trying to steep that is remaining in the strainer does not steep. Nice looking pot and infuser concept but this pot requires a makeover to be useful.
