Haven't used much yet however just off the original "feel" this trench shovel is solidly built. Handle feels rugged and so does the steel. Tools like this used to be the standard. Little linseed oil on the handle for maintenance and have no doubt it will last for years longer than the fiberglass and plastic options too often found in stores. Even if the ash handle does break, it only takes a little time in the shop to replace it and re-hang the shovel. Don't regret this purchase at all.

Angle of head makes shoveling a trench easier. Quality seems good.
