Q: Should this ONLY be put on TOP of the soil? Will it create ammonia if it's put into the soil? How much do you use for each plant?
19 days ago1 Answer
- A: No, it does not need to be put only on top of the soil, and it will not create harmful ammonia gas if you mix it into the soil. In fact, incorporating Coop Gro Organic Chicken Litter Fertilizer into the ground is highly recommended because covering it prevents the natural nitrogen from evaporating into the air as ammonia gas. Because this product is fully composted, dehydrated, and pelletized, the harsh ammonia found in raw manure has already been broken down, making it perfectly safe for your soil and plant roots.19 days agoHelpful?
Q: If I use this on my pasture grass, how long of a wait before it can be grazed again?
25 days ago1 Answer
- A: Howdy neighbor! You will need to wait at least 21 days before letting livestock graze on pasture treated with this chicken litter fertilizer. It is critical that the pellets receive heavy rain or irrigation to dissolve fully into the soil so your animals do not accidentally ingest them. This three-week window ensures the grass has safely regrown and all harmful pathogen risks are gone.25 days agoHelpful?

It really does work!

I purchased this product after reading the reviews. I wasn't expecting to really see a change, but after about two weeks there really was a difference in my garden plants, especially the tomato plants. I have now put it under my perennials and shrubs. I would recommend Coop Gro for all your fertilizer needs....and it's organic...good for our earth!
