Every Vehicle Should Have One

Greatest invention ever! Ikeep mine on all the time and always starts. Gave three for Christmas and got laughed at, but I'm laughing now! They need boosts and I just get in and go. Keeps trolling motor going in boat all day long. If it's got a battery it needs this product.

Not water-proof and it will overcharge you battery

Had I read the description here first, I would not have purchased this product. Nothing on the packaging or in the included manual says that it is not water-proof. That is deceptive enough for an unfavorable review but worse still is the fact that this device will over-charge you battery. The output voltage of mine on a sunny day is just over 20V. If you look at the FAQ list on the manufacturers website it even says that this product will overcharge and should be used with a charge controller.
With a voltage regulator, it may be useful. My intention was to mount it to a boat trailer, connect it to the battery when the boat is parked and forget about it. Nothing on the packaging indicates that I shouldn't be able to do this.
I will be returning it when possible.

Well, I placed the panel in my Jeeps window in position to get the most of the days sun, plugged it into my center console 12V outlet which is direct to the battery no cutoff like the dash outlet and after 2 weeks it didn't maintain my battery, my battery drained. The solar charger apparently isn't enough to keep up with the Alarm system on the Jeep Wrangler JkU Model. Maybe it'll work on my ATV or Boat Battery.

They work great so far, I built my own external battery setup for a set of spypoint cameras I purchased at Tractor Supply as well.
