No grip

The clips are rigid and have large teeth, but they do not close tightly enough to grip my pants. Or my pants PLUS my belt. I had to clip them over my belt loops to give the clips enough to grip. When closed there is nearly 3/16" of space in the clamp. Whose pants are 1/4 in thick?!
If they would fix this issue, I would love them, as they are very strongly built and comfortable.

The suspenders look good and strong, but the clips don't hold any type of weight. They kept popping off the back of pants.
