Chondroprotec (Polysulfated Glycosaminoglycan) Sterile Solution is used for treating wounds in cats, dogs and horses. It contains polysulfated glycosaminoglycan to help promote healing of the joints and cartilage. Commonly, Chondroprotec is applied to burns, wounds, bleeding dermal lesions, ulcers and more. It can also be used to help treat degenerative and arthritic joint diseases. Chondroprotec is sold in 10 mL vials.How it Works
Polysulfated glycosaminoglycans are useful in treating degenerative and arthritic joint diseases that are not associated with infections, or for joint injury and subsequent lameness.
Special Precautions
- Do not use in animals intended for human consumption.
- Only for use on horses, cats, or dogs.
Immediately contact your closest emergency animal hospital or vet.
Side Effects
Do not use as a permanent or long-term dressing.
Storage
Store in a dry and cool environment. Discard unused portions.
Tips
Subsequent applications of Chondroprotec can be injected through the dressing as to not disturb the wound bed. Reapply Chondroprotec daily and redress wound site every 5-7 days as needed.
