The vest was nice, but they seem to falsely advertise some of the features. The packs take much longer than 15 minutes in the freezer to get completely cold. Also, once the packs have been frozen solid and installed into the vest, the maximum time of cool was around 1 hour, which is half the time that they claim. We were hoping to move forward with several of these, but they just don't stay cold for long enough.

Over all happy with the product. My dislikes are with the Velcro on the ice packs, they came off after my first use which is very frustrating. The ice packs corners should be rounded because they snag on the mesh pockets every time I use them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 1st of all, that bump in the midsection is not my belly!!! Very comfortable fitting vest. Can even be worn with out cooling packs. Good cooling for couple hour duration to take the edge off hot environments. Goes with the 6250 Cooling packs (2 in front 2 in rear) which fit well and easy to install. The only drawback is when cool packs are in I loose that trim, fit, healthy look. But well worth the investment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this vest. A lot. Some advice, though...VERIFY YOUR SIZE. I requested the L/XL, but was sent the smaller variant by mistake. I'm glad of that, because the smaller one fits great. I have broad shoulders, so most of my clothing is sized to accommodate that, but vests are always tricky, since they don't care about my shoulders. Long story short, measure twice, order once. Second bit of advice, if you leave your cool packs in the freezer, make sure they are lying flat. If they freeze in a weird, bunched-up shape, you will feel that shape poking against you until it softens. Not the end of the world, but a nuisance I wasn't thinking about. My only critique about quality/construction is that I would prefer the velcro that holds the packs in place inside the vest pockets to be larger and stronger. I prefer hook-and-loop that puts up a good fight, especially when positioning something I have to wear. We'll see over its lifetime if/when the velcro gives up the ghost or holds it together. As far as function, I like that it doesn't feel excessively cold against you out of the freezer like a cheap ice pack, but still does its job. Keeping core body temperature from elevating makes it easier for your body to regulate overall temperature. The heat exchanger doesn't have to work quite so hard. You had better believe that I'll be donning this if I have the misfortune to be sent up into the attic during the summer.The vest looks good and wears very comfortably. Snug enough to stay put, not so much that I can't breath, and adjustable for those in-between sizes or afternoon jobs after the lunch buffet.
