Q: Will this shred gumball pods?
a month ago- A: Hello, yes, the chipper shredder should be able to process gumball pod, but with some limitations. The Shredders are designed for leaves, yard debris, and small organic materials, which includes seed pods and small debris. if your main goal is processing large amounts of gumball pods specifically, the heavier 338cc model handle the workload better and clog less often then the smaller one. We do recommend mixing the gumball pods with leaves and twigs to reduce the risk of clogging. If you have any other questions, please contact our support team directly at 877-338-0999, support@cpeauto.com, or use our live chat option located on our website. -Thank youa month agoHelpful?
Q: what is the HP rating of the engine?
3 months ago- A: Hello, we appreciate your inquiry regarding the engine horsepower rating for the 224 cc chipper-shredder. Champion engines are typically classified and advertised by engine displacement (cc) and torque output rather than horsepower. This provides a more accurate representation of real-world performance under load. The 224 cc engine used on our chipper-shredder models is designed to deliver reliable power and consistent operation for residential chipping and shredding applications. For detailed performance specifications such as torque ratings, operating speed, and maintenance guidelines, we recommend referring to the unit’s operator’s manual or the product specification page on our official website. If you have any additional questions, please contact our support team at 877-338-0999, support@cpeauto.com, or use our live chat option located on our website. -Thank you3 months agoHelpful?

Q: Do you need to sharpen blades? How?
a year ago- A: Hello, yes, the chipping blades will need to be sharpened or replaced periodically. You will notice that the blades need to be sharpened or replaced when the tree limbs require extra force to feed into the chipper chute. The chipper knives may be sharpened at a 30-degree angle until the distance between the edge of the blade bevel and the mounting holes is less than 1/16 in. All instructions can be found on page 25 of the Operator's Manual, or you can contact our support team at 877-338-0999 for further assistance. -Thank youa year agoHelpful?

Q: Can this be used to shred green multiflora rose branches that are less than 1/2 inch in diameter? I don’t have space to stack this junk to wait for it to dry out. What problems will I have…just possible clogging or actual machine damage?
