The Champion Power Equipment 3 in. Portable Chipper-Shredder with Collection Bag is designed to dependably deal with branches, brush, leaves, and yard debris by transforming them into mulch or decorative accents for your yard. This efficient machine allows you to reduce 20 bags of leaves and debris to only 1 bag. Equipped with two hardened-steel chipper blades, the chipper chute is designed to handle limbs and branches up to 3 in. in diameter. The shredder chute has a 15.2 in. shredder blade and six shredder hammers, perfect for shredding shrubbery, leaves or yard debris up to 1/2 in. or less in diameter. Included with your chipper shredder is a tough 2-bushel collection bag for easy cleanup or mulch application. The handy clean-out port allows safe and quick removal of any blockages. The chipper knives may be sharpened at a 30-degree angle until the distance between the edge of the blade bevel and the mounting holes is less than 1/16 in. Chipper is easy to start. The chipper feature works well and helps to feed in the branches. The shredder feature is key in shredding the smaller shoots off the branches and once the branches get too short or thin for the chipper. Only other thing I can think to mention is that if you dont use the collection bag (I havent) you really need a place for the chippings/shreddings to go as they can be thrown several feet.

CHIPPER/SHREDDER 3 IN 224CC

Has worked great for clearing downed branches. Trim the twigs off the branch and feed into the hopper then the branch (I've done about 2 1/2") into the chute. All reduced to chips that can fit into a yard waste bag. A lot less hassle than trying to fit whole twigs and branches into yard bags.
