Tight in the thigh shallow in the croth

I am currently a a Carhartt work pant owner. I always buy loose fit but the cut of these jeans are tight and not loose. And the crotch is shallow.They fit nothing like my other pants. And I'm not a big guy I'm 5'10 160

Don't like the hammer loop. It gets caught on scaffolding at work so I cut it off. I like the fact that these jeans are 100% cotton working around hot metal.
