GREAT concept. Works great if you do not want to carry around multiple hitches and/or different size balls. If you are NOT smart enough or handy enough to add 4-6 chain links to your existing safty chains -- you may not want to get this great hitch. AGAIN I say -- you cant go wrong.Get a locking pin, Just had my ball hitch stolen. Hope I can find just the slide in part of the hitch.

I've had this thing for about a year now. most recent experience I had the hitch on and was going to buy a trailer an hour away. I drove down only to find my tri ball mount barely hanging on as the safety pin and 5/8 pin both rattled off the hitch somewhere on the drive. I wasnt driving fast or on any bumpy roads. the safety pins are not my favorite type as the circle barely goes over the pin and holding it in place. After my experience I bought all new safety pins that are not that style. I posted a picture of how I found the tri ball mount when I arrived at my destination. Secondly, I've borrowed 2 landscaping trailers and bought another one and none of their safety chains were long enough to reach the truck because of the extension of the hitch. It would be nice if it was shorter. Third, this thing weighs a lot! I'd guess close to 25 lbs and putting it on and off is not ideal. I'm a fairly big guy 6'2" 250lbs and I find it a little ridiculous. Overall the quality is great except for the bad safety pins. Very strong and durable and wont break. I'm not sure if in my bad experience it would have happened if I had a trailer on but Im not taking any chances with those safety pins.
