The spreader has a sealed 12V motor and an adjustable shut-off feed gate so you control how much material is used. The hopper includes a poly lid to protect materials from the elements.This model comes with a standard 8 1/2 foot wiring harness. Due to the different sizes and configurations of UTVs, the specific needs of John Deere models may require a longer wiring harness to be purchased separately. A longer wiring harness allows for more flexibility in installation, ensuring that all electrical components are properly connected and functioning. Planter for several food plots on my farm

Haven’t used yet but it operates as advertised.
Installation instructions were not as helpful as I would have liked but the photos on the box solved any ambiguity.
Installed on Honda 350 Rancher. The eye bolt at the top of the barrel is an absolute must for a ratchet strap to hold the weight of a loaded barrel. The arm that fits into the 2’ x 2” square tubing for the hitch is long enough to use even with a rack on the back of the bike, but without the use of the ratchet strap, would seem to break the hitch Mount off of the back axel during use.
I had another similar spreader on a Honda 300 fourtrax that was used for 15 years but rusted through for using fertilizer and purchased this one as a replacement. Was very satisfied with the old one so made this purchase to replace it.
Will use to overseed turnips on food plots already drilled planted.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I have not had the opportunity to use it yet. The power cord did not work so I had to purchase another one. The gate mechanism is a little weak even without anything in the spreader.
