Great product! Now I can roll my trailer around instead of lifting it. The jack wheel goes on easy and stays in place with the locking pin. A must have for anyone with a trailer. Before installing, verify that all nuts are tight and everything turns freely. I am very satisfied and would definitely recommend this product from Tractor Supply.

Caster does not swivel under light loading

I bought this to replace the base plate so I could push the empty trailer around the driveway and manuver into a tight parking space that I cannot get into if its connected to the truck. The caster wheel skids and slides on the asphalt rather than turn. It defies logic. I called Bulldog and they claim this is how they work. There is not enough load to turn the wheel. I end up pushing the tongue and kicking the wheel to make it turn. Not ideal. Its a solid build, but it would seem that some ball bearings would make a big difference. Not sure why the dont sell one like that.

It worked well the first couple of times I had to unhitch my trailer and pivot it into it's parking spot. After that it went downhill quickly. The caster stopped turning with ease and began dragging on the concrete. It's quite frustrating. I'm looking for a better one.
