This ration balancer helps to stabilize your horse's calorie intake and blood glucose and insulin levels, so your horse can better maintain an ideal weight for reduced risk of laminitis. For the average 1000lb idle horse, the daily feeding rate is only 1.25lbs per day. This low feeding rate provides limited dietary NSC, reducing the risk of insulin spikes, even for severely insulin dysregulating horses.
