- A: The Briggs & Stratton Fuel Shut-Off Valve operates with a simple quarter-turn mechanism. ON: Turn the handle so it is parallel to the fuel line (running in the same direction as the fuel hose). OFF: Turn the handle so it is perpendicular to the fuel line (running across the hose). This allows the valve to be quickly opened or closed manually.6 months agoHelpful?
