Are these self adjusting?

Asked by: estjj77
Our electric brakes are not self adjusting. You must adjust your brakes per you load each time.

There are two electrical wires from this brake. Is there a specific way to wire to existing wires? Both are green so does it matter to which trailer wire you connect to?

Asked by: Claybuster
It does not matter which wire you connect to.

When engage manually, should the brakes on the trailer be able to hold back the weight of the truck and trailer from rolling down the hill?

Asked by: pete14
No, that is an unsafe practice as there are numerous unknown variables to this question. Examples: weight of tow vehicle, slope of the hill, direction forward or reverse, and load of cargo on trailer.

Does your brake kit include the flanges that must be welded onto the 3500 lb axle? It appears that the axles have no flanges

Asked by: Paul890
it does not have the flanges included in the kit. You will have to buy the flanges separate part# 147

I want to add electric brakes to a trailer I bought some time ago from Tractor supply. Will this kit work on my trailer?  I think ill need drums also.

Asked by: John 65
Yes it should work with the drums and you may also need to add brake flanges too.

Do I need to replace the drums if I install these brakes?

Asked by: DeereTodd
If your brake drums are 10" then they should fit fine. Our 10" electric brake set goes with our 10" brake drum set.

I have a dual axle boat trailer....weight of boat 3300 plus trailer 950= 4250 total weight. will this kit suffice if install on all four wheels.. for the state of Florida requirements.

Asked by: EJ MJ
This 10" electric brake kit is not a marine grade brake kit and we do not recommend submerging it under water.
