The Bosch Palm Variable Speed Random Orbit Sander with Carrying Bag delivers fast removal and a well-blended, ultra-smooth finish, so woodworkers and finish carpenters can sand quickly and to exacting standards. The sander is designed to eliminate swirl marks on the workpiece, thanks to an integral pad dampening braking system. Bosch's hook-and-loop disc attachment ensure firm grip of the disc during use. Additionally, the microcellular backing pad is pliable to ensure a smooth, fine finish on both flat and contoured surfaces alike. with a comfortable soft-grip top and body design, this orbital sander has variable-speed control from between 7,500 and 12,000 OPM to match the speed to the task. It also includes an on-board system for filtering fine dust.

No quality control

I am so dissapointed in Bosch and their complete lack of quality control. I had this sander for about 4-5 years and really put it through the ringer and it held up great, until it died unexpectedly. Considering all the work it did, I considered 4-5 years a good amount of time. Since I loved the sander so much, I decided to buy another. I ordered online from a big box store. When I started the sander I noticed it sounded quieter, and realized that's because it wasn't getting up to full RPMs. When I turned the speed down to 3 the sander would come to a complete stop once I started sanding. I decided to exchange the sander at the nearest store (1 hour away). As soon as I got home I tested out the new replacement and much to my horror it made a terrible clunking sound, smelled like burning, and the RPMs were all over the place - constantly slowing down and speeding back up. I will be returning this unit as well. I'm utterly disappointed in Bosch and their complete lack of quality control. I am not interested in buying another Bosch product until they can prove that they actually care about what they're making.

Motor died

Purchased this Bosch ROS20VSC palm sander and motor started “stuttering” almost as if it wasn’t securely plugged in. Now the thing doesn’t have the strength to do anything under load. Simply the weight of the tool and it won’t spin the sanding disc! I’d have to list this as a DO NOT PURCHASE
No, I do not recommend this product.

as a long time Bosch tool owner, Poor quality

motor stops on its own, and does not restart, you have to shake it to get it restarted, and the pads no longer holds the sand paper, all this and at 9 months, then i get ahold of Bosch AU, and they gave my the run around until the warranty expired... Unhappy camper here,
