The back of the package says, "not intended for porcelain tile or natural stone." It is one thing that the bits tended to wear rather quickly, but Bosch, please take a look at some of these reviews: Some say, "The glass and tile bits are designed for glass and natural stone tiles...."

Worked as expected

I bought these knowing it was going to take a bit of effort to drill through porcelain tile. The local hardware store didn't have the diamond hole bits I wanted. I used the 1/8" bit to drill a pilot hole then the 5/16" bit. Worked fine. Had both holes drilled in about 8 min. Used lots of water to keep them from over heating and dulling. After reading these reviews I would recommend learning proper technique before bashing a product.

Make quick work!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These cut right through tile work when adding shower doors, foot rests, grab bars, range hoods, etc. And leave a clean hole. Lasts way longer than cheap store options.

Waste of Money!

Like every other review here, all negative, purchased this due to what was on the packaging - glass and tile bit set with a picture of glass and ceramic To be sure I used it correctly, I searched online on how to use these properly and this is the first page the comes up. Hey Bosch - if you are getting negative reviews over the past 5 YEARS don't you think it might be time to change your labelling?!?!?!?
No, I do not recommend this product.

We recommend to use water on the material while working as well as starting with a low RPM and steady but light hand pressure.
