Why women pay more for less function.

Why are they $5 more than the mens with less pockets? The front pockets barley fit my hands. While the men's are so deep that I could actually put something in them without worry of it falling out. They are a good fit and the length fit me well for being a shorter female. Not sure why women pay more for less function.
