Q: With so many dogs have an allergic reactions to chicken. Why do you put it in something that leads you to believe is mostly yogurt and apples?

This product is made by Blue Buffalo, and while we don't formulate the recipes ourselves, the manufacturer includes chicken to provide protein and palatability. Even in treats that highlight yogurt or apples, chicken may still be used as a base ingredient.a year agoHelpful?
Q: Well if it isn't chicken meat meal then what is it ? Chicken meal could mean a variety of things. I agree with the question . Says there's no chicken meal then clearly states ingredient chicken meal ! Is the meal from chicken meat? Bone ? Skin ? Feet ?

- A: Here is the statement from the manufacturer: "We do not use meat or bone meal which is used in some pet treats and doesn’t identify where the meat is sourced from that used in meat meal. Bone meal is also an ingredient we don’t use. We clearly identify the meal source (i.e. chicken meal, turkey meal, etc) and don’t use “meat meal” in any of our formulas. We also don’t use any by-product meals in any of our recipes."5 years agoHelpful?
Q: On the back of the bag, it states NO meat or bone meal. Yet in the ingredients, it states chicken meal? Which is it??? Meatless boneless chickens maybe?
