It's a product of the world's top weigela breeding program and is an exceptional performer. This shrub is compact, low-mounding and showy, making it ideal for planting along a walkway, in the front of mixed garden beds or along the foundation of your home. - A: Dear Lorijeanne, Thank you for your question. In spring, after the threat of frost is over, give your Weigela a trim. You’ll want to at least trim off all the seed pods from last year’s flowers. This will encourage healthy and fresh new growth and flowers. If you don’t like the overall form at this time, you may shape it how you wish.3 years agoHelpful?

The leaves on the Weigela generally turn brown and then in the spring are replaced with new green leave buds. Crimson Kisses Weigela

The plant was half dead. Took a couple of days to revive. It hadn't been watered and the soil was completely dry. We have planted in our garden and we are hoping it will grow.
