I have used this product for years. I bought 4 bags and when I went to use it, I found that it was a medium grit not fine grit. Usually the words fine grit are right on the packaging. This time it was not. We bought online and picked up at the store. The manager remembered me seeking this product another time and said usually it has fine grit displayed on the packaging. She was very kind and refunded my purchase even though one bag was open.

I am restoring a Jeep CJ7. We have a blast cabinet and a pressure blaster where the grit is in a pressure vessel, AKA a sandy jet. The Sandy Jet loves the large coarse black Diamond grit or the fine, but the fine is too fine, too dusty, it's not graded for fines, and by that I mean they strained out the coarse stuff but didn't strain out the super fine stuff. You MUST wear a respirator, and even then you will have some dust get to you. Not healthy. It get all in your hood so you cannot see anything after 3 minutes and have to stop and clean. The coarse is too coarse, makes steel feel like sandpaper. You can see the texture under thick coats of primer and paint.

Seen reviews on this for fish tanks after using it in our gunsmithing shop for sandblasting firearms prior to painting. We use the red label=fine grit for the sandblaster and now the black label= medium grit for the tank substrate. Both work great and are SOOOOO MUCH MORE AFFORDABLE than other options. Definitely more bang for your buck in both scenarios! Would recommend and have to multiple people, we go thru tons of media at our gunsmithing shop, prepping before gunkote and this is so much more affordable than our previous media! I would make sure to feel the bag as employees don’t always know that there Is a difference and will just hand you a bag. I was given the wrong thing multiple times and had to Switch it out for the right grit according to what I was using it for.
