Love this feeder; it is not really that difficult to put together and you can adjust the shield level even after assembly. It holds a lot of seed and there is a baffle on the inside bottom to allow smooth feed into the ports. I have it hanging from tree with a baffle above it; keeps the top clean from poops. It has thwarted the squirrels (even the red one!) and the blackbirds, starlings and redwings are unable to perch. Grossbeak, Woodpeckers and smaller birds have no problem. The inside has some condensation occasionally overnight, but clears with sun up. Really happy with this feeder as it keeps the pesty ones at bay.
