- A: You will need to put a plug in the tank as it comes with a Free-Flo valve installed. You are able to plug the inlet portion of the valve with a garden hose plug. Or you can take the plug out and put in a bulkhead fitting and plug.2 years agoHelpful?

Q: Can this be hooked up to the hose but not connected to water only used to catch rain and let it drain out?

- A: You would need to take the automatic fill valve out of the water boy and put in a bulkhead fitting that would be ¾” hose thread. Then you could hook a hose to it to drain the rain water. The valve will allow water to pass through it to fill but will not let it drain out.3 years agoHelpful?
Q: What is the diameter of the inside bottom? I may be using this for a red-neck outdoor shower. I want to know how much room I have to stand inside. :-)

Disappointed with self-fill feature

The self filling feature does not work well. The hose fitting leaks-everything is plastic. There are no instructions to describe set-up or adjusting water flow.

Worth the money!

Third one we’ve purchased. Works great, fill valve in underwater so it never freezes! Screw on the valve allows to you adjust how full the tank gets. Drop a 250 watt stock tank heater in and you’re good for winter. We use heated garden hoses or regular hoses with a Freeze Miser.
