Tapeworm Dewormer Tablets for Cats to help remove common species of tapeworms. Formulated with 23 mg praziquantel, this dewormer works quickly and is easy to administer. It's effective against 2 species (Taenia taeniaeformis and Dipylidium caninum) in cats and kittens over the age of 6 weeks. There are 3 tablets included per package.How it Works
The liver absorbs and metabolizes praziquantel, and it is excreted through the bile. When it enters the digestive tract, the cytocidal action of the drug causes tapeworms to lose their ability to resist host digestion. Because of this, whole tapeworms can rarely pass completely through the digestive system of a host. Typically, tapeworms are mostly digested, and only pieces of the worms can be found in feces following praziquantel treatment.

This is a great option for your pet. The size of the pill is really small which allows you to insert into a treat. The dosage directions are easy to understand. The length of time that the dosage lasts is better than most. I asked my vet about this product and she recommended. Great product.

Packaging is as expected for pet medicine nothing fancy about it. I find dewormers for all my pets a good precaution just in case. Silver my exotic Persian had his dose and was a little more groggy for a few hours after taking. I find relief in giving him one and was happy with how he was easily fooled to eat it.

I have been using this product for years. They are a great price and have always been effective. My kitty went from a feral cat to an indoor/outdoor cat to strictly indoor and it has worked well through it all. Will definitely be buying again.

Not for my cat, she won't eat her food

My cat is small so I gave her half because she's under 4lbs. But because she's small even the half was too big so I crushed it up and mixed in her food for 2 days.... she won't eat her food at all and eats from the other cats. I have 4 cats and none of them will eat it. The pill form may not be the best option for me and my little girlie, if a liquid option were available that might be better.

My cat got out a few months ago and came home with fleas followed by tapeworms. I had tried another brand with to no avail. This seems to have done the trick! I was a bit concerned about the size of the pills but with a bit of cheese he was able to get it down a lot easier than I thought he would! There are only three pills in the bottle but you really don’t need more. I did notice a bit of extra salivating after a few hours but I think it was only because I was watching so closely to make sure he wouldn’t have a reaction. Other than that, no issues and I’m grateful it seems to have worked as it’s now two weeks later.

I was given Elanco Tapeworm Dewormer tablets for cats in exchange for my honest opinion. The packaging was sufficient. There is a line to score the pills in case you need to cut in half. The cats were hesitant to take the pills so I crushed and put in their wet cat food. They seem to work as indicated.

Shortly after taking this, my cat became very angry and experienced diarrhea. He was very uncomfortable unhappy, and he did not have a good response to you at all. I’m not sure if it works because he was so unhappy and not feeling well.

We live in the country with tall grass, wild critters and fleas! Even with preventatives you occasionally get them, and with fleas come tapeworms. We use this yearly or as needed for tapeworms. This is a really good tablet to give the cats to get the tapeworm removed. There are only three tablets that are needed, and the instructions are pretty easy. The cat just seems little bit lethargic after giving the medicine but it warns out. This is a great over-the-counter med for anyone to get rid of tapeworms. Storage is easy as is a very small tiny bottle. The cat that doesn’t give trouble swallowing then that works otherwise add it to their food.

My cat took this but I had to hide the pill in piece of meat. It wasn't hard that way getting my cat to take it. I didn't notice any side effects after my cat took this. I always keep my cats treated for tapeworm, heartworm, and fleas and ticks as my cat does live inside.

Easy administration if your cat isn’t too picky, my cat’s reaction was fine, just didn’t love the taste. No noticeable side effects besides slight drooling. The manufacturer information made me feel confident using it. Great value since it works fast and usually only needs one dose.
