The Barska Quick Access Biometric Gun Safe is a great way to securely store rifles and other firearms while allowing only select users access to the contents in seconds without needing a combination or a key. The advanced Biometric Fingerprint Identification System features an optical scanner that analyzes the scanned fingerprint and compares it to unique characteristics of those stored in the biometric gun safe's 120 fingerprint memory. Only those with fingerprints registered in the Biometric Module's database can access the biometric gun safe. In addition to the fingerprint recognition technology, this gun safe is secured by a five-point deadbolt made of one-inch steel locks. The Biometric Gun Safe includes an adjustable rifle rack and removable shelves that can be positioned to the user's liking. The maximum capacity of rifles can be reached when rifles are stored without any scopes or accessories.

Q: I havent used my safe in several years and forgot my combination. It's open but while checking it I locked it open to try what I thought was my code. Would it be a 4 digit or 6 digit code ? and can I reset it if I can't recover my code ?

- A: There is no code for a biometric gun safe. You just have to remember which finger you used for recognition. If you need to reset it, you will have to take the small faceplate with the 2 screws off the front to get your serial number which is on the back of the plate then contact the manufacturer for additional information.5 years agoHelpful?

Overall, I am pleased with the gun safe. I purchased this safe based on space requirements and I liked the biometric feature. I do feel it was a little over priced regarding the thickness of the metal. I could have purchased a bigger safe locally with thicker metal; however, it did not have the biometric feature. I sacrificed some quality for space requirements and paid quite a bit more.

The safes lock is garbage doesn’t work from start Won’t read finger prints only uses the spare key to open no matter how you program it

The top shelf could use more room, but it holds my ammo. I have a 22 rifle and 45 handgun in mine no problem. Easy to setup fingerprint and opens great. Perfect if you only have a few guns.
