Blew up in my hands and melted the leads.

Blew the leads in my hand.
I use a multimeter everyday for work (mechatronics) and went to check the voltage coming out of the wall at my dads house and the leads blew in my hand when completing the circuit. My personal meter has never done this. I’ve never had any meter do this but this one. I thought that maybe I was set to read current instead of voltage but I was set to the 600VAC setting.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Pretty good for what I spent, a lot more meter than the Harbor Freight ones that I usually I think I paid $8. Lot sturdier than I expected buying online
