Q: How do you check for capacitance?

- A: Please follow below steps to test capacitance. Below photo is also for your reference. 1) Connect the BLACK test lead to the COM jack, and the RED to the mA jack. 2) Set the function switch at F position. (NOTE: The polarity of the RED lead is positive “+”) 3) Connect test leads across the capacitor under measure and be sure the polarity of connection is observed. 4) The meter standard multi-function socket also can be used as measuring capacitor socket. Note: To avoid damage to the meter, disconnect circuit power and discharge all high-voltage capacitors before measuring capacitance. The tested capacitor should be discharged before the testing procedure. Never apply voltage to the input, or serious damage may result.4 months agoHelpful?

I got this meter on sale and tried it out. The screen was incomplete and unable to be use. I took it back and got a replacement. That meter had the same issues. It’s a lower quality piece of equipment.

It has a stand allowing table top use. It’s durable, easy to read, & easy to use. The meter has a protective cover. The test probes are of good quality. It’s multifunctional & a decent size. Good quality for a good price.

It seems to work fine. Its a very basic Multimeter with the functions one would expect. For the cost its easily worth the purchase if your needing something to do some simple circuit or voltage testing.
