I needed to put an extension on my culvert to make the opening at the road wider. The road is narrow and swinging wide isn't an option when hauling a long trailer which means we were always putting the trailer tires on the edge of the culvert. I found a 10 foot piece of used culvert the same diameter as my existing on the interweb, bought this collar, did a little shoveling to expose the original, did a little more shoveling to level the new extension and used this collar to connect the 2. Dumped some rock around it, packed the dirt back in, graded the new outlet for water run off - DONE! All in all, this collar was very easy to work with given what it is and what I was trying to do. I was also very impressed how heavy it was and how well it bonded those two pipes together. I pull a 10k camper over that seam and IT DOESN'T MOVE!! Very impressed and it made this entire project a lot easier than it could have been.
