Q: I have a 12 inch diameter culvert. Is this particular connector for that diameter? written description only says it is 12 inches long or 12 inches wide, something like that. Neither answers my question.
19 days ago1 Answer
- AI-generated, Human-approvedA: Yes, this connector is designed to connect 12-inch galvanized drainage pipes. It is specifically intended for use with galvanized culverts of that diameter rather than plastic piping.19 days agoHelpful?
Q: Can you use this to tie galvanized to poly
2 months ago1 Answer
- AI-generated, Human-approvedA: No, this coupler is not recommended for connecting galvanized pipe to plastic (HDPE) pipe. Because galvanized and plastic pipes of the same internal diameter have different outside diameters, the coupler will not fit properly.2 months agoHelpful?
Q: What is the length of the 12 inch diameter galvanized coupler?
2 years ago1 Answer
- A: 12 inches.2 years agoHelpful?
Q: Can this be used to repair a rusted section that is leaking if you use vinyl tape to seal the ends.?
2 years ago1 Answer
- A: Hi there, According to the vendor: While this could be used to lessen the leak in this situation, we could not guarantee a water tight seal since this is technically not what it is designed for. The GB12 Is designed to connect other pipe together to extend the pipe, not to seal or patch holes.2 years agoHelpful?
Q: Can this coupler be used couple an existing concrete culvert to a plastic corrugated section
3 years ago1 Answer
- A: We cannot guarantee that the galvanized connecting bands will connect corrugated HDPE to Concrete pipe. However, our 12” HDPE pipe comes complete with a bell end and spigot end. The bell end inside diameter is approximately 13.875”. Although we cannot guarantee a water or soil tight connection, it would potentially slide over the concrete pipe to extend if the outside diameter of the existing pipe is slightly smaller.3 years agoHelpful?
Q: can these couplers be used to connect galvinized to plastic pipe of same diameter
4 years ago1 Answer
- A: No, unfortunately galvanized and HDPE pipe with the same I.D. have starkly different O.D. Therefore, the couplers will not fit.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: Can two of these 12" bands be connected to each other to extend my culvert?
5 years ago1 Answer
- A: Yes, it can.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: Can this sleeve be pulled open enough to slip it over the top of two existing sections of culvert already in place (from above), or would one section first have to be removed?
5 years ago2 Answers
- A: Yes it can but, you need enough room under the pipe to spin the bolt clamp around the pipe so you can install the bolts.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: Will this band join an existing CMP to an HDPE ADS pipe?
7 years ago1 Answer
- A: This type of connection is not recommended. CMP pipe is offered on tractorsupply.com, We only recommend joining like kind pipe. In that instance you can use the GB12 when joining.7 years agoHelpful?

12" Culvert connector purchase disaster
The Tractor Supply website said this was in stock in St. Croix Falls. When I arrived to purchase, I was told they had never had them in stock there for many years. So I ordered a 12" connector for 12" galvanized culvert, making clear it was for 12" galvanized culvert, not plastic. What I received, after an almost two week delay, DID NOT FIT 12" galvanized culvert, it was WAY TOO BIG, probably more like a 16" connector. Since this was shipped to and picked up at the store in an enclosed box (by a pick up person, not me) and brought to the construction site 35 miles away, the day it was needed, there was NO WAY TO RETURN IT and get the right one. WHAT A COMPLETE DISASTER! It is my first and last business with your company.
No, I do not recommend this product.
