  • A: Hi Neighbor! The Ashman 27-inch Ground Screw Post Stake is designed for heavy-duty, no-dig installation of standard 3.5X3.5 mailbox, fence, or flag posts. Ashman 27 in. Ground Screw Post Stake for Mailbox

Seems to have served its purpose well during installation. It worked its way through somewhat stoney ground without much trouble. Here's hoping it lasts for 25 years like its predecessor, but I probably won't be around to find out.

Mailbox post anchor

Bought this to secure a very heavy, custom built mailbox post that will be removed and reinstalled seasonally. It provides a very secure and stable footing for the job. Rotating it into the ground was much easier than anticipated. The slightly bent rebar was helpful but I also used a 3’ piece of fence pipe to increase moment arm which made the task even easier. Very impressed with the anchor and would recommend it.

Great Product, but can't use it this time

5 stars if sandy loam. Love this item, avoids using concrete and makes a snowplow incident easy to bolt on a new post. However, please explain how to return. This install had a difficult amount of egg sized up to 4 lb rocks embedded in solid clay, and this will not be possible to use, required a pickax and tedious hand excavating. I have an invoice number, ordered 7/2/26 and e-receipt. I've Tried to submit an RMA request, online but no acknowledgement yet.Should I return (unused) through the local store ?

Yes, I recommend this product.
