Q: What size batteries does it use? It's hard to find solar batteries with the correct "voltage" as is previously in these types of lights. Also...when the light panel gets mi lky colored from the sun, how do I clean it up so it illuminates?

- A: This is a solar light. It does ship with AA batteries for the initial charge but then it is powered by the sun. You can definitely wipe off residual dirt that can accumulate on the panels but the milky, not bright light is actually due to the light not having enough sunlight to charge fully. We know this from displaying inside convention centers. If the solar panels are not getting their necessary direct sunlight, the light will not be as bright.6 years agoHelpful?

Q: How does it fasten to the top of the pole? Looks like a screw thread. What size?

- A: To install, unscrew the shaft with ball attached from the pole (hex nut at bottom of shaft) remove the nut and insert the smaller shaft thru the lights center hole and screw rod back into pole. This product is designed to fit the small 1/2" shaft just under the gold ball knob at the tip of the pole.7 years agoHelpful?

Great Accessory to our Flagpole

So simple to install! We wanted to leave our American flag flying all the time but don't have electrical access for a flood light. This solves our problem and looks beautiful at night.

Solar flag pole light

Good light so far. Have had it up a couple weeks. So far it comes on at dark and shuts off at sunrise. Not super brute but bright enough for its purpose without being overpowering. I would recommend this light!!
Reason for only 4 stars is only because I've only had it up a couple weeks.
