A: on my L3901 kubota i had to swap out the hose ends to make it work. a difficulty there was an incompatibility between BG [british standards] and the coupler standard. spent quite a bit of time online finding the adapter for hose to coupler connection and cost as much as the hose kit. probably can get the answer you need from a Kubota dealer after you look @ the specs for the hose which are on tractor supplies web site.

A: I used thread sealant on the cylinder end to be sure.  You would never use tape on hydraulic fittings.  And you would never use anything on the quick connect ends.
