The 3M SandBlaster Sandpaper Sponge is ideal for removing old paint, varnish, and clear-coat finishes on wood and metal. Use this 3M sanding sponges to remove coatings prior to bare surface sanding. worthless

This sanding sponge is worthless! Bought the roughest grit (36) and it barely removes paint let alone smoothing the surface under the paint (wood filler). Spent 20 mins and now the sponge feels gritless and surface still no where close to smooth!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great sanding block to help with curved wood a hand sander couldn't reach! Much easier to work with than traditional sandpaper.
