Q: Is this pipe usable? With mcLeroy fusing equipment or do I have to buy inserts?

Q: Is this for supplying household water supply from the main

1 Answer
  • A: Typically a water service line off a city main is either CTS (copper tube size) or SIDR7. Both are rated for 250 psi. The 160 could be used for lower pressure water well systems.

Q: Is this CTS sized pipe? I see online purchasing connections can be confusing between "standard" PVC barbed fittings (which is iron pipe size also) and then there is thick walled (Copper tubing sized) fittings. Any idea which is this? Thanks!

  • A: This is a CTS sized pipe.

Wrong item

The store manager shipped my order, and it seems like he didn't even read my order at all. I ordered 2 100 foot 160 PSI polypropylene pipes, and he sent me 1 100 foot 100 PSI polypropylene pipe. I need both to hang my submersible pump, and what he sent me will not work. I called the store, and a worker told me Mark the store manager would call me to work on getting my order right the next morning. I got no call, and still have to keep dealing with this. Wish I could leave zero stars. Buyer beware.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Never received my order!

I needed the pipe for a project 2weeks in the future so I checked the website and it said the pipe was not in my store but was available not too far away and would be at my store for pickup the next day. So I called to order it and they said “sorry “ it will be there within a week. OK - then I started tracking and it all looked good for three days. Then the tracking only said “delayed”. I kept checking until three days after it was supposed to be at my store with no change in delivery date. I called the support line and the person I spoke with checked and said that whenever you see “delayed” it really means that it’s lost or damaged. The person said that they would reorder and it should take about another week to arrive. They said they would send a confirmation of the new order. Got nothing! Bottom line - never received my order and I am scrambling to find the poly pipe from a different source. Don’t trust Tractor Supply to meet their deliveries.
