Q: what size nails or screws are needed for these?

    A: The insulator is 1 3/8th inch high with a 1/4th inch nail hole. We recommend a double headed nail that is long enough to hold the insulator into the wood.

Had to drill the hole out

Insulators are well made but abt 1/3 of the box u could not get a nail thru them w/out drilling center out some. Was afraid to break insulator by just pounding them thru. Hole was almost closed off. But worked for what I needed them to do.
