Nice burn cage

This is a nice burn cage. Be aware that it is heavy - very heavy. But the heaviness is part of what makes it a good quality cage. The only improvement I suggest is to put some kind of hinge feature on the lid. As it is, once a fire is going, it is challenging to lift the lid to add more items because the lid just sits on top, unhinged. If it had a hinge feature, this would be a 5 star cage.

This is not made from steel.

This is not made from steel. That's pretty much a lie. Just burning paper in it, it has warped, considerable. Paper burns at 451 degrees. It takes a LOT higher temperatures than that to warp steel. Also, this rusts very easily. When I got it, it was coated in oil (obviously to keep it from rusting. I would recommend cleaning off the oil and painting it with high temperature paint (wish I had, then at least it wouldn't be rusting). I'm not sure what kind of low grade metal this is made out of, but it is definitely NOT steel. The burn barrels I use (I just take a used 55 gallon oil drum) tend to last two years. I usually get those for free. I bought this with the hopes of having something longer lasting and easier to deal with. It's so warped now (after 3 fires) that I know if I manage to get it apart, I'll never get it back together again. So buyer beware. This is definitely overpriced. Giving it two stars cause it does work. Just wish it really was steel.

Too much buck for too little bang!

Assembled easily. Allowed material to burn quickly. Has rusted completely and heat warped out of form within three weeks. I DO NOT recommend this product! Overpriced for its short-lived usefulness.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Does what it's supposed to do

Did exactly what I wanted it to do. Burns yard brush, limbs, leaves to a fine ash. Went together easy and when done and cooled, took it apart and put it in my shed.
