Materials such as Powders, Manure, Top Soil, Gravel, and Mulch have the wrong physical characteristics and should not be used with this spreader. It is an easy and convenient way to feed or fertilize grass that is adjacent to vegetable gardens, sidewalks, or plant beds. Had trouble with the fertilizer falling out when it was sent on zero, also slots are to long fertilizer fall out. Wish I should of read the REVIEWS saved my money, NOT HELP WITH TRACTOR SUPPLY FOR QUALITY CHECK...........................

SLOTS TOO LONG

After putting this together, and made all the adjustments as noted, filling the hopper, I founded out that the fertilizer was coming out in the closed position, looking at this more closely, I can see that the slots in the hopper is way too long, So, hopefully, apply a strip of tape along the hopper will take care of the problem, I do not recommend but this product, it's not worth the money or headaches.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Drop Spreader Woes

We had trouble with this item from the beginning. We adjusted the bottom as directed, but it would drop the fertilizer even when the lever was at the zero position. We also ended up with a swath of burned grass from it dropping almost all the hopper in about 40 feet. (That part was probably user error.) We do not feel it should drop when in the zero position and that it why I gave it a low rating. We will not be using it again!
No, I do not recommend this product.
