The Wagner Control Pro 170 High Efficiency Airless Sprayer takes the fear out of airless spraying, making it easier to paint like a pro. This paint sprayer is ideal for any homeowner who wants to apply a superior finish on exterior siding, decks, fences, garage doors, sheds, walls, ceilings and more. The electric spray gun features High Efficiency Airless technology that decreases overspray by up to 55 percent compared to traditional standard airless sprayers, and the durable pump lasts up to 3 times longer than competitive models. It has several design features to make your next painting project easier and you can easily adjust the pressure control knob to regulate the paint flow. The paint sprayer is also stationary, has integrated storage for holding spare tips, and draws paint directly from a 5 gal. bucket, which is convenient for when you're painting large projects.

Lower Pressure Equals No Problem

I do a lot of spraying furniture using Fuji and Devilbis HVLP units. The prospect of the lower pressure in an airless unit tweaked my interest for larger area projects. The Wagner Control Pro 170 did not disappoint. While I was spraying a transparent oil sealer on cedar fencing, it worked great with minimal overspray and see no reason why it would not work on higher viscosity coatings.
I was very diligent about reading all the instructions and following the well worded cleaning instructions. Cleaning the unit using a spray gun cleaning fluid and following up with the warm soapy water flushing left the unit looking brand new and will keep me "in the paint" for many years. I also liked the option of replaceable valves for future overhauls and helped steer my decision to go with Wagner over that other brand airless sprayer just offering replacement pumps in this price range.

Great Sprayer
a year ago
I bought a Wagner Control 170 seal a new fence that we put in. Very easy to us and it did a great job spraying clear water sealer using a 211 tip. I was also impressed that it did not use as much material as I expected. We were able to get the fence done in less that 3 hours and cleanup was easy too. Great product!

Very nice sprayer for 4,000 sq ft job
a year ago
I am very pleased with the performance of the Pro 170. I shot 45 gallons on 4,000 sq ft of new wood fencing. The side with the 2" x 4" was a little harder but the flat side was amazingly easy. And clogging issues but most of the time turning the tip 180 and back fixed the clog. Keep a wet towel over the 5-gallon paint bucket, and keep a bucket with water in it to drop the gun into it when not using. I shot a Semi-transparent stain sealer by Valspar.
