Better than the expensive Binoculars

I purchased the much lauded, expensive Zeiss 8x42. I returned them and bought a pair of Vortex 8x42 for 2/3 less. They are Lighter, Tighter and Brighter! There is a lot of cloud cover this Spring in New England. I think they will be good with their wide angles for a little star gazing. So far, they have been superb looking at the trees and the Atlantic. Where are the striped bass? I hope to see the shore birds swooping down to reveal the bigger fish. I plan some birding too. So far, they are the best binoculars I have ever looked through.

Great optics but the harness and neck strap are impossible for me, a senior to assemble. both could have been made very simply and efficient. Why on earth did you make is so complicated.
