When dogs get bit by a venomous snake, it's important to seek immediate treatment. A dose of the Venom Vet Antivenin Injection can help stabilize the pet and reduce signs and symptoms. Antivenin Venom Vet is an effective snake bite treatment for rattlesnakes, copperheads and cottonmouths/water moccasin snakes, and it is safe to use in dogs ages 6 months or older. The vial comes ready to use, no mixing or waiting needed. How it Works
Early use of Venom Vet (within 6 hours of snakebite) has been shown to be effective in stabilizing and reducing the clinical deterioration and the occurrence on toxicity of a dog's: cells, muscles, nerves and blood cells. It is a polyvalent antivenin using the venoms from various snake species to create a proprietary antivenin effective against all varieties of United States rattlesnakes, copperheads and water moccasins (Crotalids). Because of its polyvalent character, it is effective in immunological cross neutralization. Venom Vet is obtained from the blood of healthy horses who have been immunized with crotalid venoms.
